Direct Eurostar services from Amsterdam to London will resume next year, once renovations at the Dutch capital’s Centraal station are completed.
Through trains from St Pancras were suspended from June 15, when remodelling of the departure terminal in Amsterdam meant there was no space for passengers on London-bound trains to undergo pre-boarding Channel Tunnel and UK border checks.
Since then, passengers heading from the Netherlands have had to disembark at Brussels Midi for additional checks, before joining a later train. Services heading east to Amsterdam have not been affected.
Direct trains from Centraal to St Pancras will resume on February 10 2025. They will be able to carry 440 passengers, with this number set to rise throughout 2025 to reach 650 seats.
