TRAFFIC AND TRACTION: The 11.20 Connolly to Lanyon Place on October 27 was delayed by a ‘train fault’. The De Dietrich/Mk.3 train terminated at Portadown and passengers transferred to a NIR DMU to continue the journey to Lanyon Place. The return working, 14.05 ex-Lanyon Place, was worked by a unit to Portadown, where passengers transferred to the train that had worked the 11.20 ex-Connolly. A bridge strike at Dunmurry on the afternoon of October 28 saw services suspended until the bridge was inspected. With more restrictions on travel being imposed by the Irish Government’s lockdown measures, three-car NIR DMUs were again booked to work Lanyon Place to Connolly services.
