‘Scots Grey’ to make July debut with Saphos Trains

THE first scheduled run with LSL’s Class 55 No. 55022 Royal Scots Grey is pencilled in for Saturday-Monday July 24-26, when the ‘Deltic’ will work Saphos Trains’ ‘The Elizabethan’ from King’s Cross to York. From York, newly restored A4 No. 60007 Sir Nigel Gresley will take the train to Edinburgh or, if the A4 is not ready, LMS ‘Scot’ No. 46100 Royal Scot is a possibility. The return run of ‘The Elizabethan’ sees the A4/’Scot’ take the train to York with the ‘Deltic’ from there back to King’s Cross. Passengers booking on this trip will have to make their own accommodation for two nights in the Scottish capital. On the Sunday July 25, the steam locomotive, whichever one it is, will haul ‘The Aberdonian’ from Edinburgh to Aberdeen and back. The power…
