More HSTs delivered to ScotRail

Release of ‘Inter7City’ set from Wabtec nears completion.

BY late November, ScotRail had taken delivery of 19 of its 21 rebuilt HST sets, although some are stored at Slateford pending entry to service. Like many other train operators, ScotRail has not required as much capacity on its services, and as a result less than a dozen sets are normally used. Released on October 30 was set HA14, which was moved north from Wabtec, Doncaster to Slateford (Edinburgh) by power cars Nos. 43150/163. It joined two other rakes at Slateford, sets HA15 (arrived September 30) and HA15 (arrived October 19). On November 13, set HA14 was moved to Inverness by power cars Nos. 43136/176. The same day, newly-completed set HA06 emerged from its refurbishment, its delivery move (the 5S01/13.21 Wabtec Doncaster-Slateford) being carried out by power car Nos. 43124/164. Still to be…
