Seldom do we find Christians giving a concerted effort to be self-aware of their spiritual growth. The Scripture encourages us to "give heed to yourself and keep your soul diligently." (Deuteronomy 4:9). Yet in order to "give heed" to a mechanism we must surely first understand its functions. How exactly do we attend to all the information that surrounds us? How do we process its meaning? How do we process its importance? What makes us respond as we do? From the Scriptures, as well as the many voices of Western culture, a helpful perspective has been realized to assist the Christian in addressing how God speaks regarding the health of their soul. Because of the complexity of our inner selves, our finite perspective has been designed to require some simplified system by which to interpret these many processes behind our thinking. The Quadrants of the Soul is one such attempt from an educator's perspective to address these matters.
