There’s always a danger when writing songs with topical themes that they will automatically suffer from a kind of instant carbon dating, rooting the music in a time and place that soon begins to lose resonance. Although on his ninth studio Robin Armstrong – aka Cosmograf – addresses such newsworthy subject matter, we can sadly feel confident that its most contemporary theme – the climate crisis and the need for the world to overhaul cherished old ways – will only grow in relevance.
