UK prog metallers reunite with former vocalist for third album. A lot has happened since Deadly Circus Fire released their last album, back in 2015: a global pandemic, major conflict in Europe, President Trump, Brexit. It’s apt that the prog metallers’ third dispatch is called Extinction. They’ve also managed to reunite with original vocalist Adam Grant, and this record feels like the London quartet are putting the world to rights. The at-times incendiary Bombs Away springboards off the concept of war, while Falling’s opening flurry contorts around the fretboard, discordant drama aplenty, holding a mirror to the ills of the world.
