Mick Moss on the dark proggers’ latest set of new/old music, due in November.

Merseyside dark prog outfit Antimatter will release their eighth studio album, A Profusion Of Thought, via Music In Stone in November. The record is a collection of 10 tracks that were written for previous releases but left unrecorded. “These songs weren’t taken off of past albums on merit,” Antimatter linchpin Mick Moss tells Prog. “Maybe a song sounded too similar to another, or I was saying the same thing twice lyrically, or maybe a song stuck out like a sore thumb. All these different circumstances can conspire to cut a song off.” The idea of an offcuts release has been with Moss since 2015’s The Judas Table, where five tracks were left on the cutting room floor.
