MAGMA NEW ALBUM DUE IN SEPTEMBER

Christian Vander’s Zeuhl founders to unveil the collaborative and “optimistic” Kãrtëhl.

French progressive rock giants Magma have announced that their next album, Kãrtëhl, will come out this autumn through Seventh Records. The Zeuhl band’s mastermind, drummer and co-vocalist Christian Vander, usually composes their material himself, but this release features pieces credited to singer Hervé Aknin, pianist Thierry Eliez and keyboardist Simon Goubert respectively. “Following the creation of a new line-up in 2020,” the band say in a statement, “Magma once again invited musicians to bring in their compositions, Christian Vander having never made a deliberate choice to be Magma’s sole composer.
