Hardened prog adventurers boldly go – with thrusters not quite on full. Veterans of the 70s British rock scene, now on their third album since their re-emergence in 2011, The Tirith clearly have a bit of pedigree. Here, a protracted atmospheric the opportunity for some fretboard manoeuvres before the whole band launch into the title track opener, a continuation of a sci-fi tale begun on previous album Tales From The Tower, which marries mid-tempo hard rock with something Dying To Live and My People more akin to Animals-era Floyd. Both My People and an album highlight Crystalwell have a late 60s, slightly dreamy quality to them, while the whole feel and delivery of Go The Drifter with its grease-monkey guitar riff strongly hints at the fact that it was originally…
