Gotta go crazy in Sega’s arcade classic

Sega’s loss in the console business would be PlayStation’s gain, and would give more players the chance to experience its games. While the Sonic developer hedged its bets with the other platforms, it assured players that Crazy Taxi would the first Sega title to come to PS2 – mere months after announcing its decision to exit the hardware business to become a third-party developer and publisher. A fine choice it was too, as this wacky racer had already been a hit in the arcades for two years, and was a perfect example of the kind of innovative titles Sega was pulling out all the stops to make during its short-lived Dreamcast era.
