Verizon is an American internet provider, so we’re a little confused about why we’re covering it in PLAY magazi… oh, V Rising! Um, maybe rethink the name? This is a vampire survival game that doesn’t even tell you it’s got vampires! Why didn’t they call it Vampire Survivo… oh, right. If you’re excited by the battle-ready vampire wielding a gun on the loading screen, you’re in for a rude awakening: you spend the opening hours mining rocks and picking out floor tiles. We suppose even Count Dracula had to start somewhere, and there’s definitely something charming about a game in which your end goal is to be a prince of darkness with a massive castle, but you start out having to chomp on rats and chop down trees.
