Wuxia cinema meets Devil May Cry

Having now been hands-on with it, we’re pleased to report that it’s definitely more than pretty cutscenes – though its full release may still be a way off. We play through three short sequences that showcase different weapon sets and a tricky boss fight. While we struggle to get a sense of what the rhythm of play will feel like over longer stretches, moment-to-moment Phantom Blade Zero feels fantastic, a mix of Devil May Cry character action with Sekiro’s parrytastic precision combat.
