Ys X: Nordics to get an English-language release this autumn

Seems like just about everyone is longing for the freedom of the sea. After making its Japanese-language debut last year, much-anticipated RPG Ys X: Nordics will finally clamber aboard both PS5 and PS4 in English in autumn, from NIS America. This entry in Nihon Falcom’s long-running series sees the main character, flame-haired adventurer Adol Christin, duelling with the seafaring Normans – and then his fate becomes tied to that of pirate warrior Karja Balta. Hunted by strange, immortal beasts known as the Griegr, the Normans’ survival soon depends on Karja and Adol harnessing the strength of their mystical bond. “Gone are the occasionally clunky free-for-all bouts of earlier games in favour of a focus on a party of two.” Between snappy action combat and ship-wrecking naval bouts, it’s not hard to see why…
