Peace Is a Pelican takes the reader on a journey of discovery and meditation through multiple images of nature. The poet recognizes omens in birds and relishes the connection to all living things as a means of finding peace and solace. From descending a raging river to counting stone with a child, from loss of a loved one to digging in the soil,
the poet seeks to share the wonder of her world.
Awards for the poems included in the collection: A Lizard's Trek, a first-place winner and Peace Is, a grand prize winner in Artist Embassy International Annual Dancing Poetry Contest.
