A malware attack can disrupt your business in many ways. It could put your servers and clients out of action, cause a disastrous breach of customer data, or even – in the case of so-called “ransomware” – lock up your critical files until you pay a fee. Unfortunately, some diehards believe the myth that it’s prohibitively expensive to protect their business. Many don’t even think they’re at risk: a survey carried out by the government’s Cyber Streetwise campaign (cyberstreetwise.com) found that 66% of SMEs that responded didn’t consider themselves to be vulnerable – and only 16% said that improving security was a top priority for 2015.
