Choosing a cloud-storage service can be tricky, finds Stuart Andrews, but the good news is that quality and features are improving a cross the board

Picking a winner for this month’s Labs was a challenge for a number of reasons: buying cloud storage doesn’t only involve working out which service offers the best combination of capacity and features for your budget, it also means deciding which service is likely to best suit your devices and your particular way of working. Spending money on Apple’s iCloud system, for example, makes sense only if you’re working exclusively across Macs, iPads and iPhones, while Google Drive and Microsoft One Drive become more tempting if you’re entrenched in an Android/Chrome OS or Windows ecosystem.
