Along-awaited upgrade that adds new creative options to an already well-stocked toolbox

PRICE £87 (£104 inc VAT); upgrade, £49 (£59 inc VAT) from any previous release from adobe.com/uk (pcpro.link/249adobe) Nearly two years following the release of Light room 5, Adobe has rolled out a major new update to its photographic workhorse. We say “rolled out”, because if you subscribe to Adobe’s Creative Cloud Photography plan, the new version is available to download already (under the name Photoshop Light room CC). Happily, photographers who prefer a perpetual licence are catered for too, with a standalone edition offered as a £59 upgrade for existing users. Whether it’s a particularly worthwhile upgrade depends on your ambitions.
