Mobile screen time tops PC for first time

BRITS SPEND MORE time staring at smart phones than laptops, with research showing that adults spend four hours and 39 minutes staring at a display each day – and that’s not including TVs. For the first time, the proportion of the day the average Brit spends on mobile devices has topped the time spent on a desktop or laptop PC, according to stats from digital analytics firm eMarketer. This year, we’re averaging two hours and 26 minutes per day on a mobile device – not including voice calls – versus two hours and 13 minutes on a computer.
