Buy it with the keyboard, which will almost certainly be bundled for free along with a stylus if you buy from Huawei’s site, and it instantly turns from entertainment device into a professional tool. There is, of course, a Google-shaped elephant entirely absent from the room, with the ongoing trade dispute between China and the US meaning that newer Huawei devices such as the MatePad Pro don’t have access to the Google Play store. There are online resources that promise ways around this, but they aren’t a simple five-minute fix like the Fire tablets and we don’t recommend you go down that route.
