Wonderfully compact and a superb all-rounder, with only its price and short battery life standing in the way of greatness

Today, most smartphones tote 6in displays and compact handsets are rare; rarer still are compact phones that are as powerful and capable as their pocket-stretching counterparts. However, the iPhone 12 mini is effectively the iPhone 12 we reviewed last month (see issue 315, p58) in miniature. It still supports 5G while every physical feature is in the same place, including the twin cameras.
