The cheapest route to Galaxy AI isn’t a huge upgrade on last year’s models but is still a great mid-range choice

SCORE PRICE 128GB, £666 (£799 inc VAT) from samsung.com/uk While the Samsung Galaxy S25 Ultra (see p70) is a superlative smartphone, the regular Galaxy S25 provides a more affordable alternative – and may well be the smarter purchase. The cost of admission to Samsung’s ecosystem is much lower than the Ultra, starting at £799 for the 128GB edition or £859 with 256GB of storage, putting the S25 head to head with the Google Pixel 9 (see issue 362, p58) and the basic Apple iPhone 16 (see issue 363, p68). For those seeking something more substantial there’s also the Galaxy S25+ variant, which has a larger 6.7in display and a bigger battery for an extra £140.
