We saw the latest prototype, complete with 6.39in OLED screen and sliding mechanism, in a Zoom call with the company’s founder. While there have been setbacks, most notably the need to drop down froma2.4GHz MediaTek Dimensity 1000 SoC to the 2GHz Dimensity 800, Planet Computers assures us the Astro Slide is still snappy while delivering on the key needs of its backers: a full and proper keyboard plus support for 5G.
