The side-panels connect via strong magnets, but getting them to attach properly is a bit tricky, as they’re rather prone to not lining up properly, and scratching on your desk. And because the cable is such a chore to remove it’s easy to knock them loose in the process. In wired mode, the mouse may be too heavy, but it remains smooth and precise both on the desktop and in game.
