Nicolas Sarkozy donne sa Toison d’or

Le collier figure en bonne place dans l’impressionnante collection de décorations françaises et étrangères exposée au musée de la Légion d’honneur, à Paris. Nicolas Sarkozy a mis en dépôt cette oeuvre historique : le collier de l’ordre de la Toison d’or qu’il reçut le 16 janvier 2012 des mains du roi Juan Carlos d’Espagne. Numéroté « 42 », cette décoration date du début du XIXe siècle. Nicolas Sarkozy est la 1 200e personne (de la branche espagnole) et le 9e président de la République française à se voir attribuer la Toison d’or depuis Louis-Napoléon Bonaparte, qui avait été nommé en 1850.
