Autumn leaves

These bright and crisp leaves are first coloured with a polychromos pencil which is smoothed out with a blending medium. As well as giving a base colour for the leaves it helps to protect the parchment from the small amount of water used with the acrylic paints.

You will need Your basic tool kit plus: ● Standard parchment ● Dark red card ● White card ● 4 gold brads ● PCA Bold diagonal grid ● 1-needle tool ● Small ball embossing tool ● Bold 4-needle tool ● Fine sepia pen which must be waterproof ● White gel pen ● Faber-Castell Polychromos Pencils ● Cadmium Yellow (107) ● Black (199) ● Blending medium ● Size 2 paintbrush ● Acrylic paints (I used Daler-Rowney System 3) ● Yellow ● Brown ● Red ● Green Trace Rub the back of the parchment with a tumble-dryer sheet and attach over the pattern with low-tac tape.
