I suffered the loss of my cherished husband, Mickey, during the prime of our lives - a time after his retirement when we were meant to be enjoying new freedoms together. Mickey's death shook me to my core. Like so many who endure grief, I was faced with the stark reality of succumbing to my pain or getting on with life.
At first, I wasn't sure which direction I would choose. As I cried out for help, I was met with a response beyond my wildest imaginings. Putting one foot in front of the other, I was led to people and places that were a complete departure from the life I had known.
