REPLACING trim

During the Pandemic, Bo Sullivan freed his modest 1890s Queen Anne house from its skin of Inselbric. He discovered almost all the exterior trimwork had been lost. “We had to re-create all the exterior trim that had been removed, the water table, and the belly band,” he says. Some exterior trim pieces were newly milled in vertical-grain Douglas fir (the original cladding). Those in less accessible areas of the façade were milled in TruExterior, a composite made with fly ash, or in rot-proof PVC board. Even the shingles in the gable had to be replaced.
