METAL ART TILES

Architectural tiles normally have a clay body. Another option, also with a long history, is metal tile. These tiles are cast or pressed from bronze, tin, aluminum, copper, or steel. (They are not to be confused with metallic-glazed tiles, which are ceramic but have a glaze that contains metal.) Metal tiles are available in all the common tile sizes as well as mosaics. Finishes range from highly polished to rustic and oxidized. Metal field tiles may be used in backsplashes or walls in kitchen or bath. Metal deco tiles—usually with a three-dimensional design—are used as accents within the field or as a tile mural.
