The Basket Cases met their match in Edgar Jessop, who brooked no such impenitence. So it was when Edgar accepted an invitation to visit Japan, a country where his influence in motorcycle design, development, and inspired innovation was the stuff of legends. One of his engagements was to address an ultra-conservative group known as the Middle-of-the-road Riders, at a tastefully catered function in the beautiful Heiwa Park in Nagoya.
