Another great day on the green Day

• 8 September 2024 – Macquarie Park, Windsor NSW. After the recent very wet Macquarie Towns Rally, it was a nervous start under ominous skies for the club’s popular annual Show Day at Windsor. Fortunately, blue sky soon took over and this lovely setting on the banks of the river filled up with bikes representing over a century of motorcycling, the oldest being Mick Hay’s 1910 Triumph complete with wicker picnic basket on the rear. While the veteran ranks get a little thinner each year, the more modern classes look very healthy, and this year a new one for Postie bikes and similar machines drew a very good entry. There was also a good roll up of Competition models, with Edgar Phipps’ ex-Roy East Matchless Metisse taking gold. In all,…
