• 27–29 September 2024 – Canberra, ACT. On the weekend of 27-29 September, a group of Velocette Riders gathered in Canberra for the 2nd VOCA Biennial Capital Rally. There was a wide representation of Velos from 1935 to 1971 present. Notable were Brad Martin’s original unrestored 1935 KTS & Peter Wolfenden’s KSS/Venom hybrid. Two early post-war rigid MACs, of Frank Van Rees and Michael Creagh ran well and kept up with the group which also included two Thruxtons, one Sportsman and several MSSs. Riders came from as far afield as Lakes Entrance in Victoria and Alstonville in northern NSW. The base for the Rally was the Garden City Hotel in Narrabunda close enough to the city edge to allow an easy escape to the countryside. Dinner on the Friday and…
