This week, I drove out to the desert to attend the 24th Annual Palm Springs International Film Festival presented by Cartier at the Palm Springs Convention Center. Before we even got inside the Mercedes Benzsponsored event, Bradley Cooper, Tom Hanks, Ben Affleck, Tom Hooper and Naomi Watts lit up the red carpet. I also ran into Helen Hunt, who was being honored for her work in The Sessions. There had been a lot of Oscar talk surrounding her performance and I wanted to know what she would do with her trophy if she won her second Academy Award. “Hopefully not shove it in the back in the dark like the one I have,” she told me with a laugh.
