This time she’ll sing “The Star Spangled Banner” as President Barack Obama is sworn in for a second term on Jan. 21. Kelly Clarkson will sing “My Country ’Tis of Thee,” and folk-rock legend James Taylor will perform “America the Beautiful.” The singers were chosen by the president, who said, “Their music is often at the heart of the American story and speaks to folks across the country.” Beyoncé and James supported President Obama’s re-election; Kelly once said she liked Republican Ron Paul.
