Matt was working as a production assistant on Burlesque when he and Xtina quickly bonded. “We had a really strong friendship on the movie,” Christina said at the time. “Matt is a special person.”

On Valentine’s Day the songstress announced her engagement on Twitter. “He asked and I said...” she captioned a shot of her and Matt holding hands in Hawaii — with a gigantic sparkler on her finger.

Shortly after their engagement, the couple announced they were expecting. Christina gave birth to Summer Rain on August 16. “She’s just so calm and so easy to make laugh and smile,” she said of her new daughter.
