It’s not all polo and photo ops for Prince Harry this summer. The crusading royal is currently on a trip to Africa, where he’s working with endangered wildlife, “a cause very close to his heart,” a palace insider says. Last year, he spent several months there, embedded with an antipoaching patrol that allowed him to get hands-on with elephants and rhinoceros (above). Now, he’s joined the 500 Elephants initiative, which aims to move family groups of the majestic beasts — the world’s largest land animals — some 200 miles to a wildlife sanctuary in Malawi, where they will have more food and space to breed.
An army-trained pilot, Harry is expected to be involved in sedating the elephants, who must be shot with tranquilizer darts from helicopters, then helping to monitor…
