Christopher Meloni reprises his beloved Law & Order: Special Victims Unit character in Dick Wolf’s new spinoff. As SVU fans know, Elliot “put in his papers” following the actor’s sudden departure in 2011 amid a contract negotiation dispute. Now, in Law & Order: Organized Crime, the former detective returns to the force after a loss inspires him to give up retirement and oversee a new NYPD division tackling crime syndicates. Elliot soon learns that things have changed dramatically in law enforcement (and around the Big Apple) within the last decade. In order to be an asset to the criminal justice system, he’s going to have to adjust his trusty methods and tactics…
