Games we can’t wait to play on SERIES X

HALO INFINITE The biggie. Halo: Combat Evolved is unquestionably the greatest launch game in Xbox history, and if Infinite can enjoy even half the lasting impact of the genre-defining 2001 shooter, you’re in for one hell of an adventure. While 343 hasstruggled to fill Bungie’s boots, each one of its Halo titles has been both gorgeous and supremely solid from a tech standpoint. What few glimpses we’ve had of Infinite point to the largest worlds in the franchise’s history, with Xbox Series Xprimed to deliver alien worlds that should both awe and arouse our eyes. If 343 can deliver a 4K/60fps shooter out of the gate, and if it can right the wrongs of Halo 5: Guardians’ shonky campaign, this could be a launch title for the ages.
