Soon enough we got loaded up and headed off to meet Pete and Hughsey in Otane. We got to Pete’s house where we sussed out our plan and headed for the Wairarapa. It was a nice clear afternoon as we loaded up the bikes and headed for the hut. We soon got there and unloaded the mountain of gear on the bike into the cramped hut.
