Winter is coming and the flu season is upon us, which means it’s time to take positive emotions seriously. That’s right, short of a flu shot, ramping up how often you experience positive emotion is one of your best lines of defence against sickness. Far from being the fluffy emotions that are fun to have but seemingly inconsequential, studies have shown that our daily micro-moments of joy, love, inspiration, hope, gratitude, pride, serenity and awe add up to valuable physical, social and psychological resources.
