Q I was always brought up with good manners and I did the same for my children. I sent a present to my granddaughter and great-granddaughter a few weeks ago just because I wanted to. All I ask of them is a thank you and I haven’t received one. I also have sent my daughter-in-law’s mother an 80th birthday present and have not yet received a thank you for that, either.
