I’ve just finished developing a site for a client who has been a pain in the ass since day one. The client worked in the publishing industry and was trying to set up an independent copyediting service. Apparently he was very well known, and claimed to have designed the logo for the publishing house that he had worked for previously. Even though I had a bad feeling about him, he paid upfront without even batting an eye, so I went ahead. I have since learned I don’t charge enough.
