Janice Harrison, a classically trained soprano at one of the best music schools in the south, struggles to function as a student. Soon after withdrawing from the University, she receives the diagnosis of Post Traumatic Stress Disorder (PTSD). She returns to school the following semester and thrives, eventually becoming one of the representatives for incoming freshmen. But a very small number of peers and professors doubt Jan's diagnosis despite having documentation through the school's Disability Services Office. One such professor thwarts Jan's progress towards finishing her degree. Now with her dream deterred, Jan is on her own to figure things out.
