LETTER TO OUR READERS Hi! Welcome to Mirador Magazine, Volume 10: Ship and Compass! I love the water — oceans, rivers, lakes, even a nice fountain. It always brings me a sense of peace, tranquility and wholeness. My Aunt Rebecca loved the shoreline as well. “Let’s go to the water,” she would say, and we would plan to go see the waves somewhere. Being on the water brings a whole different level of joy. There is a romanticism about hopping on a boat, pushing away, and letting the wind carry you along. Maybe it’s the immediacy of it.
