You can tell what kind of building it will be by looking at the foundation.
To be able to support the building, every man who plans to create an upstairs introduces pillars and iron rods of varying diameters. It comes down to relationships and marriage in the same way. First and first, any marriage must be based on Jesus, who is the rock-solid foundation, for it to succeed.
You'll discover once more that the kind of sand or gravel you use for your foundation says volumes about the size of the building. Some use gravel, chippings, and even better, some utilize rocks. And Jesus is the rock that ensures that any marriage has a solid and fruitful basis.
When a building's foundation is solid, no matter how harsh the weather or how many paths it may encounter, it will never experience a crack or collapse.
Jesus narrates the tale of two men who went out to construct in Luke 6:47-48. One rapidly completed their construction on the sand while the second dug down further and constructed their home on the rock. The one on the sand was destroyed by the water, but the one on the rock endured the storm and survived.
Every marriage that must stand should and must be built on the rock that is Christ.
