In 1963, large animal veterinarian, Paul Canute, driving from Tulsa, Oklahoma to nearby Claremore, encounters a small redheaded man picking weeds on the side of the road. The man introduces himself as Bryan Nappy. Before the end of the hour, Paul and Bryan are pursued, shot at, and almost kidnapped.
