"The Laws of the Higher Life" is a short manuscript by the well known Theosophist Annie Besant. It consists of three sections, each on a different basic principle regarding ascension and the laws of the spiritual realm. Through adherence to these basic principles, in concordance with Hindu principles, enlightenment and a positive world ensue.A large part of the work, especially within the two latter sections, involves asceticism and charitable acts as a general rule of life. It cites, at times, the Bhagavad Gita, as well.
