WHAT THE FUCK IS A STREET DISCO? It’s a hip-hop party that erupts in the park at night—queue the authorities! It’s a pop-up that roams around, no basis in location or theme. It’s a restaurant in Foster-Powell, or is it a wine bar? There are low lights, cool candles, plush banquettes. You can bring your kids, but you can’t guarantee what they’re going to hear from neighboring tables. Considering the high number of lesbian couples in regular attendance, you can guarantee it will be anatomically correct. This is Street Disco. The restaurant has been in place since 2022, and was preceded by four years of pop-ups under two names and an array of concepts.
