Rod and Juanita Taylor

Juanita and Rod Taylor are members of the Virginia Jaguar Club and familiar faces at JCNA events. Rod worked for the Alabama Desegregation Unit in the 1960s, and in Washington, DC, for the National Security Agency coding and decoding secret messages. Across a long career as sculptor, educator and mentor, Rod earned two master’s degrees and a PhD in Fine Arts and Art Education. After decades of teaching and attending some of the eastern and southern US‘s top fine arts colleges, he became Fine Arts Department chair at Norfolk State University, where he continues to serve as sculpture adjunct instructor.
