My wife, Margaret, and I are from Birmingham, UK, and have been Jaguar enthusiasts since the launch of the Jaguar E-Type in the 1960s. My personal interest in Jaguars and their heritage intensified while working for, and with, three specific automotive companies: Wilmot Breeden, Ford Motor Co. UK, and eventually Jaguar themselves. At Wilmot Breeden (1965-70) I was responsible for their finite manufacturing division producing small batch volumes of parts for older Jaguars, including the XK120, XK140, XK150S and the E-Type as well as the XJ Series. Two of the most memorable parts I was responsible for were the stylish petrol caps fitted to various Jaguar twin-tank models for many years.
